Otho Nesbitt, of Clearspring…

Otho Nesbitt, the oldest citizen of Clearspring, died on Monday night about ten o'clock, of old age. He would have been ninety years old had he lived until March. He was a large land owner, possessing property on three sides contingent to Clearspring and amounting to several hundred acres. He was a brother to the late Jonathan Nesbitt, and a cousin to the late Isaac Nesbitt, formerly Clerk of the Circuit Court for Washington county. He was an uncle of Charles, John and Allan Nesbitt, the latter living in Clearspring, and the others in Missouri.

The funeral took place Wednesday morning at ten o'clock; interment in the Reformed cemetery at Clearspring. Deceased was one of the most prominent citizens and farmers of the western portion of Washington county.
