Dean W. Myers, 82, of Sligo RR 2 died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at his residence.

Born May 3, 1915, in Licking Township, Clarion County, he was a son of Clyde and Lillie (Hodil) Myers.

He married the former Hazel M. Sedgwick on December 22, 1945. She survives.

Mr. Myers was a lifelong self-employed dairy farmer.

In his earlier years, he had owned and operated a school bus and a coal truck.

Mr. Myers had been a member of Rimersburg Presbyterian Church, where he had served as trustee and deacon.

He also had served as secretary/treasurer of Licking Presbyterian Church Cemetery Association.

Mr. Myers is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Deborah Myers, and John and Audrey Myers, all of Sligo RR 2; and four grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas (Sheila) Craig of Knox, and Amanda B. Myers, Deena L. Myers, and Adam W. Myers, all of Sligo RR 1.

He also is survived by two brothers, Wallie G. Myers and Clyde R. Myers Jr., both of Sligo RR 2.

Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. The Rev. Douglas Friant, pastor of Rimersburg Presbyterian Church, officiated.

Interment was in Licking Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Curllsville.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clarion-Forest Visiting Nurse Association in Knox, or the Rimersburg Presbyterian Church.
