MUTCHLER, Wilson died Oct. 8 in Madison Hospital after long illness, Aged 78, Verona. Lifelong resident of Town of Fitchburg up until retirement. Graduated from Verona High School and offended Carroll College tor 2 yrs. Served in Armed forces overseas in WWI, Charter member of The Mason Lindsay Post of the American Legion, Verona and Iron Brigade Chapter of the military order of the Purple Heart. Post commander for both organizations. Oct. 21, 1919, married to the former Dora Batker.

Farmed in partnerships with brother Lee until 1936, during that time served 15 yrs. Town Board of Fitchburg. He worked at the State Fish Hatchery and supervised M counties in Southern Wisconsin in rough fish removal. During WWII was employed, with the Selective Service. Appointed state Procurement Officer. Served in that capacity until the end at the war. Then worked for Dane County Farmco Service as a fieldman and later became manager. Retired in 1960. Was member of St. James Lutheran Church in Verona and served on Church Council and also the Board of Education for the Verona High School.

Survived by wife, Dora, daughters, Margaret Mutti. Shirley Pugh, and 8 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Verona Cemetery.
