Mr. George Mandal Morris, Jr., age 91 of Lyons, died Monday, January 11, 2010 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, was a self employed pulpwood dealer, produce dealer, retired from the Toombs County Maintenance Department after ten years, and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Hilson Morris, his parents, George Mandal Morris, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Davis Morris.
Mr. Morris is survived by two daughters, Dale Johnson and Deane Joyner both of Lyons, three sons, David Morris and Douglas Morris both of Lyons, and Dennis Morris of Juliette, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funerals services will be held Wednesday, January 13th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Black, Reverend L. S. Seabolt and Reverend Joe Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Pacer Joyner, Mandal Morris, Joel Johnson, Rodney Morris, Shane Morris, Jeffrey Morris, Jonathan Morris, Jeremy Joyner, and Michael Morris.
