Nathaniel Moore

N.L. Moore died at the Superior hospital Saturday. Mr. Moore fell from a windmill tower out on the farm northeast of town about nine weeks ago and was seriously injured. At times he seemed to be on the way to recovery, but with each relapse he got weaker until death relieved him of the intense suffering he underwent during the weeks he was in the hospital. Deceased had spent the greater part of his life in Nelson and he was a graduate from the Nelson schools in 1895, as was also his wife who preceded him in death.

Nathaniel LeRoy Moore, the only son of John R. Moore and Margaret Moore, was born in Madison county (sic), Iowa, July 11, 1873, and died at Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska, July 19, 1924. At the age of fourteen he moved with his parents to Nuckolls county (sic), Nebraska, where he has lived the greater part of his life.

On March 11, 1899, he was married to Emma Y. Hollingworth to whom were born four children: Robert, Frances, Frank and Wayne. The greatest sorrow of his life was the death of his wife Emma on March 31, 1909. His four children, his mother, Margaret Moore, and his sister, Elnora B. Emery, survive him.
