| Birth: | Jul. 18, 1826 | | Death: | Sep. 15, 1915 |  Stockwell, In., Sep. 15 - Jacob Monk, a well known retired farmer, died at his home here about noon today following a lingering illness of a complication of diseases and old age. He was born in Brown county, New York, July 18, 1826. The greater part of his life has been spent in this neighborhood. He was married to Miss Sarah Moore in 1852 and she died eleven years ago. He is survived by four sons and one daughter as follows. John, James and Lawrence Monk, of this city; Samuel Monk, of Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. May Hudson, of Delphi. The funeral will be conducted from the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.
