Son of William Allen Meech and Catherine Ann King Meech. Husband of Minerva Belle Tobey Meech. Veteran - Civil War. Lloyd enlisted on 15 August 1862 at age 22. He mustered in as 1st Lieutenant in Co. G, 120th Infantry Regiment Ohio, on 1 September 1862. He was promoted to a full Captain on 5 February 1863. He resigned on 12 January 1864.
