VIDALIA - Mrs. Lula Mae Palmer McDonald, age 89 of Vidalia, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the Treutlen County Nursing Home in Soperton after an extended illness. She was lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a homemaker, and a former employee of the Vidalia Garment Company. She was a member of the Ruth's Chapel United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, R.T. McDonald, Jr., a daughter, Betty Tyson, her parents, Benjamin F. and Almeadie Hall Palmer, one brother, Fred Palmer, five sisters, Arlie Hutcheson, Dorothy Wilkes, Gladys Blaxton, Hosie Palmer and Ebesta Shuman.

Mrs. McDonald is survived by one daughter, Frances McDonald (Tony) Fulford of Glenwood, four granddaughters, Angela Fulford Byrd of Mt. Vernon; Melissa Fulford Wilmoth of Dublin; Karen Tyson Ouzts; and Patti Tyson Daniels of Vidalia, seven great-grandchildren, Lauren Bailey, Blake Fountain, Tucker Ouzts, Jordan Byrd, Summer Hughes, Alexis Byrd, and Brantley Daniels, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Lee and Reverend Kevin Hammons officiating. Interment will follow in the McDonald Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00.
