Funeral Tomorrow Afternoon at Central Presbyterian Church
The funeral of William N. McDearmon, Deputy City Clerk, former Police Commissioner, who died last night, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Central Presbyterian Church. The pallbearers will be:

Active: Fred C. Adams, E.B. Howard, Edwin W. Zea, Fred W. Fleming, W.D. Clough and Jacque Harvey.

Honorary: E.S. Jewett, John Donnelly, Baxter Brown, Henry N. Garland, Captain James Kennedy, William Peake, George H. Foote, Luther H. Wood, John Hayes, J.J. Swofford, H.S. Boise and Thomas B. Buckner.

W.N. McDearmon, general ticket agent for the Wabash & Pacific Railroad, was born in St. Louis County, Missouri, February 6, 1836. His parents were natives of Virginia, they emigrating to Missouri in 1829. His father was a very prominent man in the state. He was elected Sate Auditor and died in 1848 while holding that position. Young McDearmon was educated mostly at St. Charles College near St. Louis. By the death of his father he was thrown upon the world to care for himself at an early age. When seventeen he quit school and went into the office of his brother, who was Clerk of St. Charles County, Missouri as Deputy Clerk, being with him seven or eight years. In 1861 he began his career as a railroad man by taking charge of the ticket and freight depot at St. Charles, Missouri for what is now the Wabash Road and afterward became the pioneer ticket agent in Kansas City being established in the employ of the Wabash Railroad in 1869 and still holds the same position. In 1864 he was appointed Police Commissioner by Gov. Woodson and was reappointed by Govs. Hardin and Phelps. May 29, 1860 he married Miss Laura C., daughter of William Sigerson of St. Louis by whom he has six children, two boys and four girls.
