Kevin Daniel May was born Nov. 13, 1961 at Osage, Iowa, the son of Edward and Gertrude May.

He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Church, Adams, MN. He resided with his parents on a farm near Adams and attended Sacred Heart School and Southland High School there. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Youth Organization and Southland Rebel Chorus and played varsity basketball and summer softball.

Kevin died at 1:40 a.m. July 12, 1979 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, after being injured in a farm accident.

He is survived by his parents, Edward and Gertrude May, Adams; two brothers Daniel May, Adams, Gerald May, Boerne, Texas; five sisters, Susan May, Minneapolis, Mrs. Bruce (Nancy) Brehmer, Rochester, Mrs. Mike (Cindy) Schneider, Dexter, Mrs. Ron (LuAnn) Stroup, Rose Creek, Anne May, Mason City, IA.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Gerber, Adams; nieces, nephews, his girl friend, Kathy Classon, Rose Creek.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. July 14, 1979 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Adams with Fr. William Bertrand officiating and Fr.Clayton Haberman as co-celebrant. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery with pallbearers Jeff Anderson, Craig Hanson, Bob Heimer, Mark Gilgenbach, Steve Schroeder, and Duane Hill. Joyce Edland was organist.

Adams Funeral Home, Adams, was in charge of arrangements.
