Michael Anthony "Nubbz" Marin, 19, of Safford, died June 4, 2009. Michael was born on June 23, 1989, in Fort Ord, California, to Alfredo D. Marin and Theresa M. Rose. He attended Safford and Mount Graham High Schools. He enjoyed Ultimate Fighting Championship style fighting. He was passionate and loving. He especially loved bugs and could answer any question about them. He loved animals and life in general. He worked as a cook at the Golden Corral restaurant in Safford.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents Victor and Rosa Marin, and Evelyn Weightman. Michael is survived by his parents, Alfredo D. Marin and Theresa M. Rose and Timothy D. Rose, his siblings, Williams E. Marin and Kristen A. Marin, his aunts and uncles Mary Marin, Victoria Marin-Unruh, Grace Woolsey, Rebecca Reiff, Patricia Rodeback, Jefferson Weightman, and Victor D. Marin, his nephew Gabriel Marin, his niece Samantha Marin and his many cousins. Also left behind were Sarah Green and a multitude of other beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in Michael's honor. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Family and friends may call at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Safford Cemetery.
