Robert "Bob" A. Mansheim, 85, a retired farmer and rancher, died Monday, Dec 30, 1996, at Gregory Community Hospital.
Mr. Mansheim was born Oct. 19 1911, in Fort Madison, Iowa. He and his family moved to a homestead north of Colome when he was an infant. He married Vera Pastian on June 27, 1940,in Colome. They moved to a farm north of his fathers original homestead in February 1942. He was active in farming and ranching until May 1992, when he had a stroke.
He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Colome.
In addition to his wife, survivors include five children: Harold of Brookings: Donald and Leo, both of Dallas; Mrs. Don (Betty) Dvorak of Winner; and Joyce Mansheim of Orlando, FL; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer, of Gregory; and two sisters: Genevieve Bunkers of Dell Rapids; and Mildred Brychta of Burbank, CA.
Services begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Colome, with burial in St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery in Colome.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Mason Funeral Home in Winner, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
