Sue was a homemaker and devoted to her nine children. In later years, she enjoyed world traveling and was as much at home floating on a gondola in the canals of Venice, Italy, as playing cards in the living room of her house on Sixth Street with the ladies of her card club.

She is predeceased by her husband, Daniel Ralph Mains Sr.; and her daughters, Patricia Ann Blalock and Karen Lynn Harrison; a sister, Jane Willis; a niece, Lori Willis.

She is survived by seven children, Stephen Louis (Pamela) Mains, Ironton, Lawrence Joseph Mains, Worthington, Ky., Timothy Mark (Rae Ann) Mains, Ironton, Daniel Ralph Mains Jr., Ironton, Anita Sue (Nathan) Lewis, South Point, Mary Kathryne Mains (David) Lenox, Orlando, Fla., John Patrick Mains, Chesapeake; and her 16 grandchildren, Casey Henry, Martha Blalock, Drew Mains, Beth Ramey, Carrie Mains Rowe, Leslie Byerley, Peyton Mains, Jade Mains, Amy Harrison, Catherine Saunders, Mark Mains, Andy Mains, Nikki Lewis, Nekka Kazee, Noel Payne and Reece Lenox; along with 18 great-grandchildren (2 more on the way); a sister Kate (Dick) Maiorano of GA; a brother-in-law, Tom Willis of Ironton; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, a committal service will be held for the convenience of the family at a later date. O'Keefe-Baker funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

She was a member of the Saint Lawrence O'Toole Church, in Ironton. She was married to Dan on April 22, 1949. She passed away surrounded by loving family.

Named after both grandmothers Mary Bell Toler & Susan (Adams) Curnutte.
