David H. Lyons, 90, retired insurance agent, died Sunday noon at the Cahill
residence, 310 North Ninth street. He had been seriously ill for two weeks.
Mr. Lyons was born in Tennessee in 1855 and married Miss Susan Smith in 1879.
They located at Lexington, Mo., and later moved to St. Louis here Mr. Lyons
engaged in the insurance business and later operated a store. Mrs. Lyons died
many years ago.
He came to this city from St. Louis seven years ago.
Mr. Lyons is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Archie Randolph of Ordnance, Ore.,
and Mrs. Leonard Balz of St. Louis, both of whom are here for the funeral; two
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Frazier mortuary chapel,
the Rev. C. H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment
will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The body may be viewed after 7 o’clock this evening at the funeral home.
