Mrs. Michael (Ella) A. Lutz, 87, a resident of Shady Lane Home formerly of 314 Riverview Dr., Manitowoc, died Friday evening, October 22, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Philip Hoffmann will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Lutz was born Sept. 20, 1895, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Steiner Sladky. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc, and was a graduate of West side High School with the Class of 1913. Mrs. Lutz was employed at Schuette Brothers Department Store for many years as a bookkeeper and stenographer prior to her marriage. She was married to Michael G. Lutz, July 24, 1919 by Rev. Luby at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1971. Mrs. Lutz was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Christian Mothers Altar Society of the church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Robert Timm of Shboygan; a daughter-in-law, Gertrude H. Lutz of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Adelande Detjen of Manitowoc; three grandchildren, John Lutz of Iron Mountain, Mich., Linda Johnson of Route 2, Two Rivers and Robert M. Timm of Lansing, Mich.; five great grandchildren; a niece, Mrs. Arlene Rehrauer of Manitowoc. She was precedeed in death by a son, William; a brother, George Sladky and a sister, Laura Hrudka.
There will be no visitation. Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
