Ruth C. Lutz, age 90, a Manitowoc resident, formerly of 1222 Michigan Avenue, entered eternal life on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Ruth was born on September 8, 1922 in Manitowoc to the late Arthur and Emma Hardrath Luedtke. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1940. On October 16, 1943, Ruth married Byron N. Lutz at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Byron preceded her in death on March 9, 2002. Ruth had been employed and also did volunteer work at Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: James and Diane Lutz, Denmark; one daughter and son-in-law: Susan Lutz and Charles MacKelvie, Park Ridge, IL; two grandchildren: Derek (Amy) Lutz, Green Bay; and Carrie (Michael) Webb, Appleton; two great grandchildren: Amber and Kara Lutz; also other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Schossow will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
