Edwin H. Luecker, 81, of 1007 N. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening at
Manitowoc County Hospital where he had been a patient the past 1-1/2 years.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phipps Memorial Chapel, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Gervase Zanotti, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc,
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Luecker was born Oct. 5, 1887, at Brillion, son of the late George and
Bertha Bubolz Luecker.
He married Adeline Hinz, June 15, 1920, at Manitowoc, where the couple resided.
He attended Brillion public schools then entered the barbering trade at
Reedsville.
He later came to Manitowoc and was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co. and
later for Kerscher Co. as a bookkeeper until 1942 when he was employed at
Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co. as a timekeeper until 1945. He then was employed at
Mirro Aluminum Co. in the shipping department, retiring in 1957.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Malcolm (Dorothy) Fell of
Manitowoc, Mrs. William (Marian) Turk of Green Bay and Miss Florence Luecker of
Manitowoc; a son, George, of Arlington, Va.; a brother, August, of Evanston,
Ill., and nine grandchildren. One sister and one brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Friday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 9
a.m. Saturday when the body will be removed to the chapel.
