LENA LUECKE
Mrs. Fred Luecke, 82, of 1108 South 13th street, died at her home yesterday
following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran church, Eighth and Marshall streets, the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Luecke, nee Lena Mertens, was born in 1864 in the town of Two Rivers. She was
married to Mr. Luecke in 1898 and for two years they lived on a farm in Liberty
before moving to Manitowoc.
Survivors are the husband, one son, Ray of Manitowoc, two stepsons, Edwin of Lansing,
Mich., and Alvin of Sheboygan, one brother, John of Two Rivers, one sister, Mrs.
Charles Lovejoy of Santa Monica, Calif., and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed until 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home
and then will be moved to the First German Evangelical Lutheran church to lie in state
until services at 2 p.m.
