HENRY LUECKE
Henry Luecke, 85, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Friday afternoon at the
home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Casmir Garstecke, of Rt. 4,
Linden Beach, Fond du Lac, where he had been residing.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek & Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, with the Rev. Wilbur Hanser officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Luecke was born June 17, 1872, at Waukon, Iowa, son of the late Fred and
Elizabeth Brust Luecke. In 1894, he married Alvina Siggelkow and the couple
located on a farm in Centerville, moving to Manitowoc in 1908 where he organized
the wood and coal business he operated with his brother, Fred. Mrs. Luecke died
in 1929.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Casmir Garstecke and Mr. John MacKenzie of Oak
Lawn, Ill.; two sons, Harry of Manitowoc and Roy of West Allis; seven grandchildren
and six great grandchildren.
