Harry F. Luecke, 76, of 2238 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday
morning at home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N.W. Kock will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Luecke was born Nov. 5, 1895, at Centerville, son of the late
Henry and Alvina Siggelkow Luecke. He was a World War I veteran
serving as private in Battery A Field Artillery from July 1, 1918
to Dec. 14, 1918. He married Adele Volheim Dec. 6, 1919, at Manitowoc.
He was foreman of the water department of Manitowoc Public Utilities
until his retirement in 1961.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Buckley, of Denver,
Colo.; a sister, Mrs. John MacKenzie, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; three
grandchildren and a great grandchild. A son, two brothers and a sister
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from
4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday until noon Thursday and then at the church until
the time of service.
