Mrs. Ferdinand Ewald, Manitowoc, route 1, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the St.
John's Evangelical church, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be
made in the Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Ludwig was born June 18, 1854 in Manitowoc. He was married July 25, 1879 in
Newtonburg to Anna Kleselhorst. He was a blacksmith for 65 years in Newtonburg.
Survivors include the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Ewald and Mrs. George Baruth,
Manitowoc; two sons, Charles and John, both of Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs.
Minnie Roepke, Biramwood, Wis.; and 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Leschke funeral home from 7 o'clock tonight until
10 a.m. Wednesday, when it will be removed to the church, where it may be viewed
until the time of the services. Edward L. Kohls is the funeral director in
charge.
