A former Yuma man, Daniel Norman Lomax, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011, just days short of his 74th birthday.
Dan suffered a massive stroke on November 10, 2011 and passed away the following day. He was born November 17, 1937 in Santa Monica, California.
As a developer, Dan designed and built homes and commercial properties in Yuma, Phoenix, AZ., Ventura County and San Diego County, CA. For the past 23 years, Dan and his family lived in Alpine, California. Those who knew him best would unanimously describe him as brilliant, witty, charming, and infinitely devoted to his family and close circle of friends, who he also counted "family". "Dan loved life and he lived it fully" said Lisa, his surviving wife. In recent years, Dan developed a passion for wine-making and along with his wife and daughter, Lexi, founded Provincial Wines.
Dan is survived by his wife, Lisa; four children, Danna (Steve), Dana (Teen) (Steve), Daniel; daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and Lexi; sister, Sue; nieces, Maria Thomas (Sean), Andrea Fazz (Herman) Lacey Fugate and Brooke Fugate; grandchildren, Marissa, June, Francisco and Una, and grand nephews James and Tanner Thomas, and Aidan Fazz; and brothers-in-law, Jon Fugate (Martha) and Kreg Fugate (Tracy).
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Rothwell Potter Lomax and Pamela May Tirado Lomax.
