Oscar C. Lockhart, 51, of 4215 18th Av., died Sunday at 10:30 p.m. at the Camden-Clark Memorial hospital.
He was born Aug. 28, 1908, at Palestine, a son of the late Noah A. Lockhart and Mrs. Effie Lockhart of Parkersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorcas Windland Lockhart; four sons, Harold, Gerald, Roy and Larry, all at home; a daughter, Lois Jean Lockhart, also at home; a brother, Ross Lockhart, of Parkersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Dale Monroe, Palestine, Ms. Dorothy Gates of Vienna, Mrs. Bertha McCoy of Parkersburg and Mrs. Pearl Davidson of Walker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Two Run Baptist Church in Wirt county, with the Rev. Vairl Winters officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Franklin funeral home and will be taken to the church to lie in state for one hour prior to services. Friends may call at the funeral until 11:30
today.
