DONALD R. LAUN, formerly of Charles City, IA, passed away in Modesto.

He was an educator, teacher and counselor for Modesto City Schools from 1965 to 1986.

Mr. Laun was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, a member of Lions Breakfast Club and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his daughters, Gayle Fox of Virginia, Ann Stokes of San Diego, and Sue Cipponeri of Modesto; brother Dean C. Laun of Modesto, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Loving companion of Evelyn Livingston of Modesto.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan M. Laun.

Visitation will be held Tues. Nov. 21st 6:00 pm-9:00 pm and service will be held Wed. Nov. 22nd 1:00 pm both at Colonial Chapel- Franklin & Downs.

Immediately following the chapel service, another service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.
