Simon was married to Nancy DeWitt (1814-1857) who was the oldest child of Thomas Dewitt (1789-1879) and Mary Magdalene Buffington (1797-1886).
Nancy also died in Carroll Co, MO. They had 12 children.
Simon later married Rematha Leeds in 1863. Simon and Rematha had 12 more children!
