Kubik, Ben F., 93, retired F.B. Kubik and Co. CPA, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000. Service has been held.

Benjamin Franklin Kubik was born March 5, 1907, in Caldwell, Kan., to Daniel Emanuel Kubik and Millie Bobek Kubik. He grew up on the family farm in Caldwell and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1925. He then graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1929. He married Helen Louise Scott on Oct. 3, 1932, and to this union, two sons were born, Daniel Scott Kubik and Warren Franklin Kubik. Warren died 12 years ago from cancer on Halloween night in 1988.

Mr. Kubik was president of the Kansas State Society of Certified Public Accountants in 1950. He held the lowest active CPA certificates-#82. His hobbies were primarily golf until he reached 90 years of age. He celebrated 60 years of working in 1992 and retired at the age of 85.

Survivors: wife of 68 years, Helen (Scott); son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lucille of Torrance, Calif.; daughter-in-law and mother of his deceased son's children, Ganice Kubik; daughter-in-law, Jay Kubik; grandchildren, Vicky Sperry, Julie Kubik, Douglas Kubik, Donna Campbell, Kris Moberly, Shane Kubik, Mark Kubik, Damon Kubik, Richard Madison; great-grandchildren, Brad Sperry, Laura Lyn Sperry, Courtney Campbell, Parker Campbell, Emily Moberly, Andrew Moberly, Bethany Moberly, Nicholas Kubik, Sonya Kubik, Erin Kubik.
