She was born to Clifford and Usona Knickerbocker on Sept. 12, 1922. She graduated from Linfield College in 1944.
In 1952, she married John Giesy, who preceded her in death in 1983. She returned to McMinnville in 1991 and was active in a wide variety of organizations.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors of McMinnville. There are no local survivors.
