On a night in August of 1990, Barry Lee Kinnick was walking his girlfriend home after a casual night out. They'd both had a little to drink, and soon began to argue. A man who had witnessed the couples' dispute took matters into his own hands, which soon became a heated fight between he and Kinnick.
He pulled a knife, slicing Kinnick's throat. Kinnick then ran from the scene to a nearby house where an ambulance was called. He was pronounced dead at Wishard Memorial Hospital in the early hours of the morning.
Barry Lee Kinnick was the father of two young children. He was 27 years of age.
Kinnick's murderer is currently serving a 40 year sentence for man slaughter. After serving only 10 years of his sentence, he appealed for a retrial. However, his appeal fell through and was dismissed.

"Daddy" (In Memory, 12 Years Later)|
Dearest Daddy, up above
Where have you been?
Me, you ask? I'm doing fine,
And missing you like sin.
You should be here, Daddy
You really, really shold.
I've needed you all these years,
