Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon April 1, for William Kennedy, resident of Edmond, Okla., who passed away in an Edmond hospital after an illness of 8 days. Mr. Kennedy was born in Texas May 10, 1878 and passed away March 30, 1952. He came with his parents from Texas to Natural Dam, Ark., where they lived for a period of five years.Then the Kennedys settled at Keokuk Falls, Okla., where he met Miss Leonia Irick. They were married July 3, 1897. To this union were born 9 children, 4 of them preceded him in death. Mr. Kennedy was converted as a young man. He is a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife Leona Kennedy; two daughters, three sons, two sisters; grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Burial was in Grace Lawn Cemetery with the Baggerly Funeral Home, Edmond, Okla., in charge.
