Jessie Conner was born in Streator, LaSalle Co. IL to William & Leah Bowen Conner.

First marriage to Harry M Jasper, a son- William Donald was born to them.

On the 29 August 1915, she married William George "Bill" Keiser. He was born and raised in Dauphin Co., PA -but went West to find his fortune. They operated the Beacon Hotel and Restaurant in Quartzsite for many years.

Jessie suffered a cerebral hemmorage and was hospitalized in Redlands/Loma Linda, CA for seven months before her passing. "Mrs. Keiser was a woman of sterling character and will be sadly missed in the community where she spent so many years". The death date on her side of the stone had been "modified". I have two obituaries for her - each dated 1939 - not 1930. She appears in the 1930 Census in Quartzsite.

She is buried in the Quartzsite Cemetery better known as the Hi Jolly Cemetery (known for its monument erected to an old Syrian Camel Driver who brought the animals to AZ to haul supplies for the Army in the early 1800's). Jessie had selected the burial site years before her passing.
