Karnes was born in Gurthie and moved ot Oklahoma City at an early age. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Marguerite Karns of the home; a brother, Edward of the home and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Blanton of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Wanda Sabsen of Falmouth, Mass.
