Darlene Johnson-Mahan, 87, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at her home in Van Meter.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at the Van Meter Cemetery in Van Meter. Family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Darlene was born March 5, 1928 in Adams County to Clyde and Chassie Williams.

She loved camping, boating and ceramics.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Don) Ross; sister, Dorothy Tucker; brother, Don (Nancy) Williams; brother-in-law, Charles Gottsch; step-daughters, Beverly (Jerry) King and Cheri (Jim) Michael; step-son-in-law, Darrell Luke, and multiple nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Chassie Williams; 1st husband, Ervin W. Johnson; 2nd husband, Edgar Mahan; step-daughter, Barbara Luke; brother, Clyde Williams; and sister, Deloris Gottsch.
