Sarah Evelyn Jessup, age 86 years, one of the oldest residents in the county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Snow, at 5 o'clock this morning of apoplexy.
Mrs. Jessup had been a resident of the county over [83? 63?] years and could remember Kokomo as a trading post.
She came here from the Carolinas and was the wife of Thomas J. Jessup, a Civil War veteran, belonging to Company K of the 90th Indiana Volunteers.
The funeral will be held sometime this Saturday, the time has not been set definitely, with interment in the Albright Cemetery.
