COLUMBUS JUNCTION PIONEER IS DEAD
COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Feb 5. - Enoch Jennings, formerly of this vicinity, died Tuesday at his home in Van Meter after being in ill health for several months. He was 73.
Mr. Jennings, son of Benjamin and Nancy Jennings, pioneer residents here, was born and reared in the Spring Run neighborhood a few miles south of Columbus City. He had lived on a farm near Van Meter for the last several years.
Surviving are his widow, a son, Roy W., at home; four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Roseman, Earlham, Mrs. Fred Repass, Waterloo, and the Misses Lulu and Golden at home; two brothers, W. H. Jennings, Lincoln, Neb., and Taylor Jennings, Van Meter; a half sister, Mrs. C. N. Johnston, Columbus City, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Van Meter Thursday and burial was in the cemetery there.
