Magician. Robert Bradshaw Hurt is the namesake for the International Brotherhood of Magician's Ring 219 of Lafayette, Indiana. He and his wife, Velma were charter members in the ring. He toured under the name Bradshaw the Magician and Bob Hurt, Clown Magician. He was elected International President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 1972. He also served in several elected positions at the state level.
He became interested in magic during the early 1900's while watching the medicine shows and traveling chautauqua performers. During the height of his performing, he did three to four shows a day, including public performances and school assemblies. He and his wife also operated a pet store in downtown Lafayette, IN for over 25 years.
