MARK HOUGHTON was born March 16, 1957 to Dwight and Colleen HOUGHTON in Des Moines. He died October 10, 2006 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2006 at the Fellowship Community Church, 225 N. Avenue, Norwalk, Iowa. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
Mark enjoyed playing lead guitar for his church band and he loved golf. He was a devoted father and loving husband.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; three children, Danielle, Michelle and Jonathan; two grandchildren; brother, Andy HOUGHTON of Ft. Worth, Texas; three sisters, Karen (Audie) HENDERSON of Carlisle, Iowa; Corinne (Rev. David) DeHAMER of Hoquiam, Washington and Janet ROWE of Forest Lake, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents.
