Corporal Howard Hugh Hominick was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, CPL Hominick served our country until April 27th, 1968 in Quang Ngai, South Vietnam. He was 19 years old and was not married. It was reported that Howard died from multiple fragmentation wounds from a mine. His body was recovered. Howard was born on July 7th, 1948 in Carle Place, New York. CPL Hominick is on panel 52E, line 030 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
Cpl Howard Hugh Hominick served as a Corporal with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, USARV.
He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat wounds, The Air Medal with Devices, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Vietnamese Gallantry Cross Unit Citation.
