She was BORN Ettie Hyde, daughter of the late Solomon and Sarah Satterfield Hyde on 2/9/1886 in Cadiz, KY. Came to Texas with parents in early childhood. Married to Herbert O. Hollowell in 1902. He preceded her in death in 1944. Also a son, Harold Herbert in 1920. Member of the Trinity Methodist Church. Made her home in Thorndale for 45 years. She was an avid reader and derived pleasure from sharing the many books she read with others.

(Blanche) Loyd of Longview; 7 sons, Orby and Frank Hollowell of Thorndale; Norman and Lawrence Hollowell of Tyler; Lee Hollowell of Kilgore; Morris Hollowell of Corpus Christi and Iven Hollowell of Longview; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Amelia Worley of Austin; 2 brothers, Ernest Hyde of San Diego, TX and John Hyde of Austin.
