Jonathan Nicholas HATCH. was born 3 Apr 1829 in Vergennes, Addison, VT, son of Martin William HATCH and Nancy KELLOGG. Jonathan was married 19 Jun 1857 to Orilia Madonna COUSINS, daughter of Charles Nicholas COUSINS and Mary SEWARD. Jonathan Nicholas HATCH died 22 Jun 1910.
Jonathan severely injured his knee while working as a lumberjack in 1850, resulting in the loss of his leg. His photographs are notable in that he lived the rest of his life with a "peg-leg."
