Alberta Anna Carolina Hasenjaeger, nee Schoppenhorst, 88, Marthasville, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at the Warrenton Nursing and Rehab, Warrenton. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was born July 13, 1914, in Warren County, the daughter of Albert H. Schoppenhorst and wife Emma H., nee Sprick. She was baptized Aug. 12, 1914, in Lippstadt. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was confirmed April 1, 1928, at Immanuels United Church of Christ,Holstein, by the Rev. F. Egger. She was united in marriage to Raymond August Hasenjaeger Aug. 15, 1935, in Holstein, by the Rev. Eric Pfundt. They lived on a farm near Wright City for a year then moved to Hopewell. They lived there until 1964 when they moved to Warrenton. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was a nurses aide at the Katie Jane Nursing Home. After her husband died, she moved to Charrette Apartments in Marthasville in 1976 and then to Washington Residential Care in 1988. In February 1991, she moved to Warrenton Nursing and Rehab in Warrenton. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; her husband, Raymond, May 12,1966; one sister, Flora Mertens Engemann on Dec. 11, 2002. Mrs. Hasenjaeger is survived by two sons,Delvin Hasenjaeger and wife Lulu, Marthasville,and Ray Hasenjaeger and wife Golda,Edina;one brother,Erwin Schoppenhorst,Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Allan, Darrell, Bradley and Patty; eight great-grandchildren, Janna, Katie, Adam, Abbie, Luke,Erick, Bria and Sawyer; two stepgrandchildren, Ron and Jan; stepgreat- and great-greatgrandchildren; one sister-in-law, Louella Luecke; one brother-in-law, Clarence Engemann; nieces; nephews;cousins; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ,Marthasville, with the Rev. Don Deeker officiating. Interment was in the Immanuels United Church of Christ Cemetery, Holstein. Memorials to the St. Paul's UCC Memorial Fund or to the Immanuels UCC Cemetery at Holstein Fund in care of Martin Funeral Home,510 E. Main,Warrenton,MO 63383,are preferred.
