WINTERSET CITIZEN DIES SUDDENLY

H. H. Harrington Stricken With Apoplexy and Dies Suddenly.

H. H. Harrington, one of Winterset's most respected citizens, was stricken with apoplexy shortly after noon on Sunday and died about one hour later. Mr. and Mrs. Harrington were invited to the home of their daughter, Mrs. E. B. Griswold, for dinner. Mrs. Harrington was not feeling well and Mr. Harrington attended alone. He seemed to be in his usual health and had nearly finished his dinner when he complained of difficulty in breathing and started to leave the room.

Mr. Griswold noticed that he was seriously ill and assisted him to a couch. A physician was summoned but to no avail, death claiming him in about an hour.

Mr. Harrington lived in Dexter many years before moving here in November 1906. He was associated with his son-in-law, Mr. E. B. Griswold, in the proprietary medicine business of the Griswold Drug Company. He was a man of strict integrity and during his stay here, won the friendship and respect of many. Short services, conducted by Rev. J. S. Corkey assisted by Rev. Wilbur ReQua were held at the residence at 8 a.m. yesterday and the body taken to Dexter, where funeral services were held and burial at the Dexter cemetery.
