J. Leftridge Gravely, a resident of the Mountain Valley community of this county and about 33 years of age, passed away at his home Saturday morning after a lingering illness.
The deceased who was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeb M. Gravely of the Leatherwood section, is survived besides his wife, by several brothers and sisters, among them being Benjamin and William Gravely of Lynchburg, Mrs. Abel Richardson of Mountain Valley and Mrs. W. L. Manning of Leatherwood.
Funeral and burial services were held Sunday afternoon at Mountain Valley, which were attended by a large host of friends and relatives of the deceased, who came from a family prominently known in that section of Henry County for many years.

Jabez Leftridge Gravely (1884-1928) married Loula Betty Stanley. Dr. Klein says that after the death of her first husband, Loula Betty (Stanley) Gravely married Harry Maynard Taylor
