Harold Keith "Hal" "Harold" Grantland is only son and the youngest child of four children born to George Odis "Ode" Grantland and Valerie "Claudine" LYLE Grantland Stanley.
He is grandson of Harry "Floyd" "H.F." Lyle and Dora "Edna" BREEDING Lyle, and James Edgar "Ed" Grantland and Florence Eunice "Eunie" BLEVINS Grantland.
His siblings are Betty "Zane" GRANTLAND Pannell, Shelby "Jean" GRANTLAND Jackson and Glenda "Sue" GRANTLAND Owens McCutcheon.
He first married Patricia Antoinette "Pat" NUNNERY.
Harold and Pat's child is "Judy" Lynn GRANTLAND Jesse Osborn.
Harold second married Claudia LEADY.
Harold and Claudie's children are "Laura Lee" GRANTLAND Sawka, "Tammi" Jo GRANTLAND Phelan, and "Keith" Edward Grantland.
Uncle Harold was a good and kind man. Anyone who met him could not help but to like him.

Grantland, Harold Keith of LaGrange Highlands, formerly of Stickney, beloved husband of Claudia L. (nee Leady), loving father of Laura (Jerry) Sawka, Tammi (Tim) Phelan and Keith (Susan) Grantland, dear grandfather of Stephanie, Marissa and Jerry Jr. Sawka and Bryan Grantland, fond brother of Betty Zane Pannell, Shelby Jean Jackson and the late Glenda Sue McCutcheon, dear son of Valerie Claudine Stanley and the late George Otis Grantland.
(NOTE: Uncle Harold's eldest child is Judy Lynn Grantland (Shawn Osborne). Grandchildren are Tiara & David Jesse.))
Visitation 3 to 9 p.m., Thursday, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday. Interment private.
Mr. Grantland was the owner of Harold's Auto in Cicero for over 40 years.
