CROWN POINT, N.Y. - Abraham Audice Goyette of Crown Point passed away on Nov. 1, 2010.

He leaves his wife, Madeline Grant Goyette of Crown Point; and 12 children, Gabriel Goyette and wife, Amanda, of Clifton Park, N.Y., Jonathan Goyette and wife, Whitney, of Cohoes, N.Y.; six children from a previous marriage with Betty Ramsey, Juanita Sheldon of Shoreham, Jeannie Greene of New Haven, Abraham Goyette Jr. of New Haven, Timothy Goyette of New Haven, Jacqueline and husband, Kris McCoy, of Georgetown, TX, and Jeannette and husband, Jeffrey Sleeper, of Vergennes; four step- children he loved as his own, Katrina Maness of Ticonderoga, N.Y., Louis Larmay and wife, Michelle, of Ascatero, Calif., Gary Larmay and his wife, Lisa, of Shoreham, and Lisa and husband, Lee Terrier, of Middlebury.

Abe was blessed with 24 grand- children and 20 great- grandchildren.

He also leaves a sister, Audrey and husband, Donald Laflam, of Brandon.

" My children are my treasures, both future and the past. So I pray to my god their souls, with the will, last." Abe was a charter member of the New Haven Fire Dept. which he worked and loved doing. He was a 32 degree mason, working with friends in the Shrine, a maintenance engineer at many wood working shops. He loved to repair antique furniture. He worked as a deputy sheriff in Pima County, Ariz. He graduated from Beeman Academy in New Haven in 1953, took a course from UVM in auto repair, and night classes at Middlebury College and Johnson State to teach. He earned his associate's and bachelor's degrees. He taught for one year at job corp., liked the students though didn't like to be cooped up.

He is predeceased by a grandson, Michael Lathrop; his father Audice Goyette of New Haven; and mother, Pearl Symanski of Florida.
