Alexandre J. Goyette, 80, died Sept. 17, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Ste. Thecle, Quebec, and lived in Port St. Lucie for 18 years, coming from Fairfield, Conn.
He served in the Army as a staff sergeant during the Korean War.
He was a crane operator for D'Addario Construction in Bridgeport, Conn.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Port St. Lucie, the Men's Club at Holy Family and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post of Bridgeport.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Goyette of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Denise Puffer of Bridgeport and Claudette Goyette of Oxford, Conn.; sons, Alexander Goyette II of Fairfield, Conn., and Marc Goyette of Trumbull, Conn.; 12 brothers and sisters, all of Quebec; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Cauley officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie.
