Nancy was born July 30, 1938 in Des Moines, the daughter of Theodore and Gertrude Boudewyns and has lived in the Des Moines area all her life. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Des Moines, a homemaker and enjoyed music and auto racing. She liked nice cars and enjoyed washing and waxing hers. She loved her cat, Susie and was a "Wheel of Fortune" fan. Her granddaughter, Mandi was the love of her life.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Anthony and Martin (Heidi) Gay, both of Ankeny; granddaughter, Mandi; brother, Ted (Delores) Boudewyns of Urbandale; and 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Bob, Kathryn and Jim.
Visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home with the family present at that time. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
