Emery L, Gathers, aged 63 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Lewis of East Main Street, Clarion, at 5:30 o'clock last night following a lingering illness attributed to a complication of diseases.
The deceased was born in Monroe Township on June 4 1863 and resided in that locality until six years ago when he moved to Clarion. He was married to Mary Krauss of Shippenville, on October 15, 1891.
He is survived by the following children: Glen E. Gathers of Erie; Mrs. George W. Larsen [?]of Pittsburgh; Mrs. John E. Lewis of Clarion; a sister, Mrs. T. M. McKee of Bradford; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services in his memory will be conducted at the Lewis home at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon and interment will be made in the Reidsburg cemetery.
