I am going over the research for Walter Garner again. I am very confused because the birthdate listed does not match census records.
Here is what I have found so far.
*Death cert says b. 1866 which does not match any census record.
*James Hill Garner married Belinda King 23 May 1837
*James Hill Garner married to Almarinda Rosett Boren 15 May 1855
*Walter W Garner b. March 3 1859 (on 1860 census with James and Rosett)
*James Hill Garner and Catherine Kinson marry 08 Oct 1863
*James and Catherine Garner on 1870 census and Walter is listed as age 11 (again b. 1859)
*1900 census lists Walter and family and says born March 1859
*1910 census living in Greene Co., MO b. 1859
*1920 census living with step daughter Irene Baldridge Portis and listed as b. 1859
*1930 census lists Walter b. 1859
So according to my research; he is the son of James and Almarinda Rosett (Boren) Garner and was born in 1859.
