Dakota Farley, 8, of Evarts, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Born July 6, 2003 in Sweetwater, Tennessee, he had lived in Pounding Mill all of his life. He was a member of the Evarts Church of God where he was very involved with his church. He also enjoyed playing video games.

Dakota was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Gary Carpenter; his paternal great-grandfather, Ruben Napier; his paternal great-grandparents, Bessie and Arvel Farley; an aunt, Carolyn Tindell; and a cousin, Ricky Lee Farley.

Survivors include his very special great-grandmother, Margaret Carpenter, Evarts; his mother, Brooke Tindell and companion, Roger Shell, Jr., Evarts; his father, Alfred Farley and companion, Tammy Brittain, Mary Alice; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Tindell, Evarts; his maternal grandparents, Billy and Amy Fox, Dayhoit; his paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Wanda Farley, Evarts; his paternal great-grandmother, Ethel Napier, Verda; his step-grandparents, Kathy and Roger Shell, Sr., Ages, and Fay and Eddie Brittain, Mary Alice.

He is also survived by five sisters, Alyssa Shell, Evarts; Natasha Farley, Evarts; MaKenna Farley, Raygan Farley and Kierstin Wright, all of Mary Alice; two brothers, Raeden Tindell and Cody Logan, both of Evarts; his uncles, Derek Tindell, B.J. Fox, Brian Fox, Rick Farley, David Farley and Junior Farley; his aunts, Brittany Fox, Katelynn Fox and Melissa Middleton; a great-uncle, Anthony Tindell; great-aunt, Terinna Hendrix and husband, Tommy; cousins, Raygon Hendrix, Camron Hendrix, Gracie Hendrix, Bill Petra, Devin Tindell, Austin Tindell and Ally; a special loving great-aunt, Ora Lewis; and a very special great-uncle, Hayward Middleton; special friends, Garrett Fuson, Tammy and Woody Fields, Buddy Simpson, Perry Long and Joe Smith, Jr.; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 until 9 pm and Monday from 10 am until 9 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1 pm in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Buddy Simpson, the Reverend Perry Long and the Reverend Woody Fields officiating.
