June Evon August 19, 1923 - March 12, 2020 June was born August 19, 1923 at home on the Springwater, Ore., farm. She was the second of three sisters: Kathleen Wendt (deceased) and Marjory Varitz, West Linn, Ore. She was a graduate of Estacada High School. In 1946, June married Cyril Evon, who died in 1985. Of this union, two daughters were born, Susan Sheryl and Elaine Cherie. Elaine died in 1986. June was a great-grandchild of pioneers, Lewis and Leonora Lacey, who crossed the plains in 1852 and settled in Springwater.

She is survived by daughter, Susan Evon; sister, Marjory Varitz; and a number of nieces and nephews. She also shared the life of Faye Miller, a special grandchild of her longtime partner, Edwin L. Miller, who died in 2014.
